Now that we got basic information out of the way, lets take a closer look at Cooler Master Choiix Comforter.

Closer look

Front shot

Close up

There isn't much to the packaging of Choiix Comforter. The unit is rather oversized and packaging it in to the box wouldn't be a good choice. The Choiix Comforter comes in a clear plastic pouch which keeps the actual unit from being damaged. The sleeve which you can see on the unit itself has pretty much all of the information you need to understand what Choiix Comforter is all about.

High quality material

From both sides of the sleeve we found some vivid images of Choiix Comforter in action and some ways you could use it around home. Right from the start I would like to mention that the half of Choiix Comforter is covered by high quality foam cloth. This foam is rather durable and provides a great cushion.

Side shot

Angle

Choiix Comforter is conveniently curved for maximum support. The actual skeleton of Comforter is made of plastic and it is very uniquely shaped to provide a concave surface for better air flow. The extra grove has been allocated for power supplies and or additional cable management. So no longer you have tangling wires or trying to figure out what to do with your power supply.

Rubber feet

Rubber feet

On the plastic side of Choiix Comforter we found a set of rubber stoppers/feet for controlling the position of the notebook on Choiix Comforter. These stoppers will control your notebook and hold it in place while moving around the couch.

Choiix logo

With installed laptop

There aren't many logos on the Choiix Comforter. In fact we only found one, on the plastic side of the Choiix Comforter. We have used our 15 inch laptop with Choiix Comforter and had no problems with having it sitting straight on the cloth side of the Comforter. When we tried to elevate it, the laptop would slide off in that set up.

This particular model offers many coinvent ways of keeping your lap cool and notebook secured. What i did noticed is that the air flow from the laptop would escape from the Choiix Comforter leaving the pad nice and cool. A definite improvement in my situation as my lap would be as warm as the rest of my body.

When we have reversed the Choiix Comforter and placed the Laptop on the plastic side the rubber stoppers really did work here. As without them our laptop would slide right off. The bottom stopper is very well glued to the plastic but the top once are not so much. We have actually managed to knock one of them out, accidently. A quick touch up with super glue fixed it right up.

Conclusion

Another great and astonishing product by Cooler Master. Choiix Comforter definitely looks great and performs very well in a "tough" situations. The ability to use the Comforter many ways really plays a big part here. Not only it provides that comfortable support for your laptop or netbook but it also help you to keep your notebook cooler and give you cable and power supply management as well. Comforter comes in two color, white and black and also has two surfaces, one cushioned and one plastic. The cushions surface is really helpful when working on your lap where plastic surface helps when you want to elevate your notebook. The rubber stoppers become handy when notebook tries to slide off the Comforter. Over all our experience with Cooler Master Choiix Comforter has been pleasant one. Costing only about 20$ and being light weight Choiix Comforter really creates an affordable option for "couch computing".

Some pros we found:

Stylish design

Light weight

Highly durable

Cable management capable

Concave surface to help with cooling

Some cons we found:

Rubber stoppers are easily removed

Would be a great item with fan cooling
