About the Product
Following information is taken from XTracPads website.
Fat Mat™ is chunky, ergonomic and has a smooth surface for your mouse to glide on.
Ergonomically speaking, if your desktop has a sharp edge, Fat Mats thick backing doubles as a wrist rest giving you a very comfortable feel.
As if the thickness was not enough, Fat Mats surface is made from our award winning Nanofiber™ textile which is really slick and easy to clean.
Additionally, because the surface of Fat Mat™ is nice and soft, you can have greater control over your mouse which means greater accuracy with gaming and computer applications.

Fat Mat |
|
Side shot |
Fat Mat arrived in a plastic tube. The color schema for this very unusual package was red black gray. Fat Mat has alot of advertisements on its package such as "Designed for Professional Gamers. It really does jump in the eyes and says that this mouse pad should be looked at or paid a close attention to.

 |
Warning? |
|
Out of the tube |
On the back of the package we found a Specifications of the Fat Mat. What i thought was funny is the Warning label above the Specifications. It stated " Warning! This tube contains a very accurate computer gaming surface. Consistent use of this mouse pad may be addictive." Hahaha not too bad. I guess i am not the old one who still has a right sense of humor. The actual mouse pad is wrapped in a plastic bag which protected itself from scratching.

Out on the table |

XTracPads logo |
Once we have taken the mouse pad out and rolled it out on the table, i quickly came to a conclusion that this is the biggest mouse pad i have ever seen. On the right bottom of the Fat Mat i found a rather generous size logo of XTrac Pads.

Endurance test |
|
1/4 inch |
I tried to peal off the logo from the mouse pad to see how long it would take for me to rub it off and it took nearly one full minute for me to even scratch it. Fat Mat is made out of Nanofiber (front) and rubber backing (back). The surface of the Fat Mat was rather smooth. It kind of reminded me of old school mouse pads. Fat Mat is about quarter inch thick. This would be very helpful for the wrists. At times when i game, my wrist gets tired from moving it off and on to the mouse pad. Something tells me this isn't going to be the case here.

Width |

Height |
As i ve mentioned earlier Fat Mat is pretty big. To be exact it is 12 by 16 inches. Much bigger than some of the leading brands out there.

|
 |
Rubber foam |
|
Flexible |
On the bottom of the Fat Mat i ve discovered rubber backing sure grip. This material provides exeptional grip while applied a small pressure to it. It is not a solid piece of rubber but a compounded rubber with air holes. This technique makes the pad lighter that it appears to be.

Stylish |
|
Plenty of room |
As i have mentioned earlier, Fat Mat is rather stylish. I wonder if there are any upcoming released with different colors or even designs? I have spend about 30 minutes gaming and simply browsing the web while using Fat Mat and i have to say that i am very satisfied with this product.
Conclusion
It is pretty hard to judge a mouse pad where it does what it supposed to. Fat Mat has fulfilled all of my expectations and continues to prove itself by being on my table as we speak. Some of the key features of Fat Mat are the Sure Grip and Nano fiber textile surface. With Sure Grip you are almost guaranteed that your mouse pad will not slide and with Nano fiber textile surface you are getting the quietest performance and best traction available on the market. One of the most important factors about Fat Mat is that its quarter inch thickness. I found it very comfortable to use and being a thick mouse pad i had no problems with my wrists. I strongly recommend to give this mouse pad a try as you will be impress and satisfied as well as i am. It give me a great pleasure to award Fat Mat with 10/10! Great product.
