Vizo has based their reputation on the luxury and excellent presentation of the product to the public. We have been reviewing Vizo notebook coolers for a while and it always have been a pleasure to review. Just like every other notebook cooler by Vizo, Ninja HS comes in a very well build box. It is very important to present your product to the public in a formal and proper way.

Specifications |
|
Over the top shot |
All over the Ninja HS we found logos and brand designs of Vizo. On the back of the packaging we found a small specification area where Vizo have listed specs of Ninja HS. One thing i would like to point out is the plastic handle on the top of the box. It is very much handy if you need to carry this box some where.

 |
Stylish plastic handle |
|
Colorful logo |
The plastic handle extracts so it could easily be inserted back in the box. Again the Ninja HS logos are found all over the box. The soothing colors of light green and light peach go together very well and very much soothing to the eye.

Contents of the box |
Opening the box was no brainier. Couple flips and un tucks and we were on our way to the Ninja HS. The contents of the box include four mounting thumb screws, USB 2.0 cable, mounting legs, the base of Ninja HS and of course installation guide.

 |
Main module |
|
Adjustable fans |
The main part of Ninja HS is made out of the light weigh aluminum and contains 2 70 mm fans. These fans are emit very little noise and could be spread apart for a direct cooling of your notebook. Some part of the notebook could heat up pretty good so this design is very handy when it comes to non standard laptops.

USB 2.0 Hub |
|
Ninja HS legs |
On the side of the Ninja HS we found the USB 2.0 hub. So if you need an extra port of USB 2.0 for your camera or an external hard drive, this comes extremely handy. Ninja HS legs have small plastic wheels on the far end of the legs. This is a good design if you ever need to move your Ninja HS with your laptop on top.
 |
|
 |
Thumb Screws |
|
Easy installation |
Vizo has included a thumb screws so there is no need for screwdrivers for the installation:) Very handy design. With thumb screws you can adjust the distance of the main unit to the middle of your notebook. Again without any screwdrivers!

Once assembled, Ninja HS look like something that should weight quiet a bit. However, the lightweight design of this particular notebook cooler is very impressive. The whole Ninja HS weight only 880 grams. Woah!

USB 2.0 cord |
When you look on the side of the Ninja HS you can see that the legs and the actual body is hollow. This is what gives the Ninja HS that light weight. USB 2.0 cable was also provided by Vizo. However, i do not think it needed to be this long. The USB cable is about 18 inches long and i don't think there is a need to make it that long especially when the notebook is going to be sitting on top.
Now that we got pictunary out of the way, lets take a look how well does Ninja HS cools.
Testing
Today we are going to be using an Asus F8 Laptop. We are going to be running Prime95 on the laptop for 20 minutes and then take the measurements. Once we get our reading we will repeat the test with Ninja HS

Without Ninja HS |

With Ninja HS |
Before the Ninja HS the laptop got very hot but stable at 93.2 F or 34 C. With Ninja HS the temperatures dropped to 84.6 F or 29.2 C. This is a drop of 8.6 F or 4.8 C. Please do keep in mind that this is a surface test of the cooling. Since there are no components which are cooled, no internal temperature readings were done.
Conclusion
Well not much competition here. Another great product by Vizo. Ninja HS looks and feels very solid. In fact everything from the beginning to the end was a pleasant experience. Ninja HS is very silent in operations and allows its used to adjust the position of the fans for more presize cooling. The lightweight design and ease of assembly really stands out among other leading manufacturers of notebook coolers. Ninja HS could be used as an additional USB 2.0 hub. So you can plug in anything that requires a USB port. The temperature drop was no surprise either. With use of Ninja HS we have lost a total of 8.6 F or 4.8 C. This is a great temperature drop for a notebook cooler. A definite part of recommended gear! Ninja HS deserves a 10/10 !!!

Lightweight
Easy to assemble and use
