Consus L-Series comes in a very unusual and stylish box. The actual unit is exposed and covered by a thin plastic casing. On the top of the box i quickly found the Eagle's logo and the name of the item i was holding.

On the back of the box i found specifications of the Consus L-Series and some pictures describing the item. Eagle made sure that a person who is about to buy this product knows what they are buying.

Consus L-Series box is sealed with a plastic seal. This ensures that no one has tempered with Consus L-Series. Opening Consus L-Series was easy. Just a few pulls and everything came out.

Size comparison

The Consus L-Series box contains a drivers cd, USB cable, instructional manual and the actual enclosure. The size comparison to the actual hard drive is in the picture above. As you can see the the size of the Consus L-Series is not that much bigger than the actual sata 2.5" hard drive.

Installation

The installation was rather easy. Just a few screws and everything falls in to its own place. The enclosure is made of nickel plated aluminum which make a very stylish and durable design.

On the back of the Consus L-Series there are some bar codes. I am not entirely sure but i think these bar codes are for manufacturing purposes only. The front of the Consus L-Series is made of a fine grade leather for extra stylish design.

The front latch opens up and you find a short USB cable connector. Consus L-Series comes with an extension cable so you can use Consus L-Series in a hard to reach USB spots.

HD Tach

We have tested the Consus L-Series with HD Tach and we got 34.2 MB/s on average speed. This is a normal speed for a USB 2.0 enclosure.

Conclusion

It gives me a great pleasure to give Consus L-Series an A+ for a great product. I really have no concerns for Consus L-Series. Very solid design and award winning looks going to take Consus L-Series to the top. For most of us performance is important, but not as much as the looks. The ease of the installation and the simplicity of use really makes this product worth of purchasing. What i thought was very cool was that the Consus L-Series has a hidden usb connector. A definite winner!! 10/10!!
