The Plantronics GameCom 780 is one of the hottest headsets for PC Gaming on the market right now. It uses Dolby technology to transform all audio into a 7.1 suround sound experience. In other words, it takes your standard 2 channel stereo and turns in to a 7 channel full range virtual sound sound experience. The headset prides itself, not only on the sound, but also on the design, comfort and durability of it all.
The headset includes the Dolby software, 40 MM Diameter Speaker driver, a speaker frequency of 20HZ to 20 KHZ, a microphone frequency response of 100hz - 10khz and a 6.5ft cable. The GameCom 780 lives up to everything it says it does. It is extremely comfortable to wear and the sound is amazing! If you flip the GameCom around you can have the rest on your shoulders. This is when you want the volume at it's highest. I couldn't believe how clear the sound when worn this way. To activate or deactivate the Dolby surround sound you simply press the Blue button by the volume controls. You won't believe the difference.
For any true PC gamer looking for amazing sound The GameCom 780 is the way to go. If you have mac you can still use it you will just have to download Spoke on the Plantronics website and you won't get the Dolby experience. And don't forget the headset is not just for gaming. I'm currently listening to all my favorite albums with the GameCom and are hearing things in the music I had never heard before!
